Pub Convo - More Bollocks Less Tactics

While we were all bitterly disappointed with losing last night, I do feel that we are losing the reason why we play.

I play football and with myself to have fun! While there will inevitably be ups and downs within the game the last thing we should be doing is taking this away with us at the pub

'Talking Shop' at the pub should be banned and in our world of professional footballers this means tactics. Tactics should be discussed before and during the game at the stadium NOT IN THE PUB when the match is over and there is fuck all we can do about it anyway

My pint of Carling Extra Cold (The favourite tipple for all Academicals - Apart from the poofy ones which have lime in it!!!) which is carefully served by our Team Associates - The Bell ("never knowingly sold dodgy booze") should not be spoilt by discussions of 3-1-1 or 2-2-1 etc.

All post match alcoholic beverages should be accompanied with a heavy dose of BOLLOCKS. I therefore became more refreshed near the end of the night went the slightly gayer ones of the team suggested the lap dancing bars are better than dirty pubs.

Hopefully this debate will continue next week

Long live Corpsey!!

I do agree in theory.
The public house has always been a relaxing place in my mind.
However...not talking about the match just played, and the next weeks match will be very difficult. It is only natural to want to discuss the good and bad points.
I would love to think we would be able to have a tactical discussion before each game, and maybe a quick chat afterwards. Past experience has not proved to me that this will be easy. Players arriving late and leaving promptly being the major issue.
But...I am wanting to stand shoulder to shoulder with you (or sit arse to arse). I will join your 'Sacred Pub' campaign.
I will do my best to uphold the beliefs and faith of the public house, and I will endeavour to honour the memory of my forefathers by once again making the second home a fun and stress free environment!
